The power of a laugh can turn your whole day around, and brighten your entire mood! And no matter what makes you giggle, there are plenty of Houston comedians that will make you laugh down to your funny bone. My favorite comedy clubs are Comedy Improv, and ComedySportz; they make for perfect date night or a night out with friends.
Comedy Improv, located off Katy Freeway in the Marq*E Entertainment Center, is a fun and cozy comedy club with a bar and dining options. They host popular comedians on the rise, open mic nights, and even some famous comedian acts like Jaime Kennedy and Rob Schneider. Regardless of the talent, the acts will always leave you chuckling; they love to push the envelope!
ComedySportz, at Interstate 10 and Beltway Eight near City Centre, is more of an interactive improvisation group of comedians, so you’re sure to get a new and exciting show each time you visit. They have ComedySportz children leagues and high school teams, but it’s their shows on Fridays and Saturdays–geared towards adults–that are a real riot. They also have a small bar and light snack options to enjoy during the show.
