The best part is, you don’t have to settle with the standard black color, you have options! I learned this trick from A Beautiful Mess, with only a few items, your chalkboard can be any color you desire! Because… Who doesn’t love options?
Supplies:
½ cup Acrylic or latex paint
1 tablespoon Unsalted Grout
Mixing Cup
Paintbrush
Spoon
Directions:
After measuring, mix the grout into the paint until it is lump free. The grout is a powder and can get a little dusty, so you want to be in a well-ventilated area when combining. Then, start painting! The paint will begin to harden though, so if you’re painting a larger surface, only mix as much as you need. After it’s dry, you want to slate it by lightly running chalk lengthwise across the surface completely, and then gently wiping it off. After that, you’re done!
