Snacking While Learning

Why not make snack time fun, and learn to count at the same time? Now you can! Helping your child learn and grow at a young age is important. Snack time isn’t only for eating, you can sneak in some learning time as well, and this cool idea doesn’t take much at all!

You will need a cupcake pan or muffin pan, cupcake liners, permanent marker, plate, cheerios, raisins, popcorn, gold fish, and whatever dry finger snacks your child enjoys eating.

First make sure you’ve got all your supplies. Next, use the marker to write in a number 1-10 in each cupcake liner and place them in the cupcake pan or muffin pan. Mix the numbers up and put them in a random order. Make sure the number is visible so you and your child can see it. Now, get the plate and put a good amount of each snack on the plate, so your little one can just use their hands and pick them up.

Have your child read the numbers out one by one, and pick the right amount of snacks they want to place in that number cup. Once they are done filling them in, they can enjoy each snack, and be rewarded with a great big hug, high five, great job or all of the above! This is a fun way for your little one to enjoy something as simple as a snack while teaching them numbers, counting, and learning all at once.
