With Christmas a little more than a week away, there is no better way to ready your home than with some decorations crafted by you and your little ones! These snowflakes we found on Crafty Nest are practically mess free, fast and easy to make. What’s great is that you can leave these up a bit longer than other Christmas decorations as they are symbols for winter weather too.

All you need are some popsicle sticks, a hot glue gun, paintbrush and acrylic paint (white is a classic snowflake color, but choose whatever colors you’d like!).

Start by painting the popsicle sticks, we recommend laying down some news paper into your table’s surface. Then once the sticks are dry, arrange them into the snowflake shape of your choosing! Don’t be afraid to get creative, after all no two snowflakes are alike! With a parent’s help, carefully glue the popsicle sticks together.

If you’re looking to bedazzle your snowflake, try adding glitter to the wet paint, or even some rhinestones with hot glue, the possibilities are endless. Show us your results; we’d love to join in on the fun!
