Chain Of Hearts Bird Feeder Project

Feeding birds and observing them in their natural habitats can be therapeutic and fun! Here is a great project to get yourself and the little one’s in tune with nature.

Just Grab:
Cheerios (or any cereal with a whole through the middle)
Pipe Cleaners
Ribbon

1. Fold your piper cleaner in half, (the crease will become the top of your heart) and place cheerios into the pipe cleaner, making sure to leave enough space to tie the ends together and give the cereal some wiggle room.

2. Then gently bend either side of the pipe cleaner into a heart shape, leaving the ends untied.

3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 as many times as you desire! The more hearts you make the longer the bird feed chain will become.

4. Connect your hearts into a chain and then twist the ends of each heart closed.

5. Tie a ribbon onto the first heart in the chain and hang the bird feeder on a branch or desired spot.

And you’re all finished! We hope everyone gets a kick out of watching their new feathered friends! Let us know how your project turned out below.
