If you are looking to spend time in Houston on Thanksgiving day, there are several events to attend before and after Thanksgiving dinner!

  1. Turkey Trot – 7:00am – Galleria – 4925 Westheimer Rd, Houston, TX 77056

This is the largest Thanksgiving Race in Houston and it takes place in the Galleria area. The event benefits children and seniors Neighborhood Centers serves every year.

  1. Thanksgiving Day Parade – 9:00am – Downtown Houston

The parade will begin at 9:00am on Smith at Lamar, north to Walker, east to Milam, south to Pease, west to Louisiana, north to Clay, west to Smith, and north to end at Smith and Dallas.

  1. ICE at Discovery Green – 11:00am – Discovery Green – 1500 McKinney, Houston, Texas 77010 http://www.discoverygreen.com/ice

All ages are invited to skate at Discovery Green. There is a small toddler rink for the littlest ones to practice!

  1. Uptown Houston Holiday Lighting – 4:00pm – Post Oak Boulevard – Uptown Park

Every year on Thanksgiving evening, families gather along Post Oak Boulevard for the annual Uptown Houston Holiday Lighting with Fireworks!
