5 Kid Friendly Restaurants in Galveston

A few weeks ago, we were in winter clothes… now we’re preparing for weekends at the beach!  Pack up your kids, swim suits… and appetites… and drive down to Galveston!

After a morning of playing in the sand, here are 5 kid friendly restaurants that are perfect for your little beach-goers.

1. Cafe Michael Burger – 11150 FM 3005 Galveston, TX 77554
On the west side of Galveston, off the Seawall, and right across the street from the ocean is Cafe Michael Burger. Guest order at the counter and swim suits and cover ups are normal attire.  Some say it’s the best burger on the island!

2. Shrimp N Stuff – 3901 Avenue O, Galveston, Texas 77550
Kid friendly, great food and very casual. It’s way off the seawall so patrons are mostly locals and just a few tourists.

3. Sunflower Cafe – 512 14th Street, Galveston Texas 77550
Located near the Ocean Star Offshore Drilling Rig and Museum, in Galveston’s historic East End. Fresh seafood, homemade sandwiches, and some say it’s the best bakery in town.

4.  Mosquito Cafe – 628 14th Street Galveston, TX 77550
Also, located at the East End Historical District of Galveston and not the usual tourist spot. Order at the counter at this eclectic cafe and then take a seat and let the staff take care of the rest.

5. The Spot – 3204 Seawall Boulevard, Galveston, Texas 77550
Beach front restaurant with burgers and seafood. Eat great food and great view! People rave about the burgers… so go give it a try!
