If you’re looking for a break from the duties of parenthood, the George Observatory might offer you the stellar night off that you need.

A branch of the Houston Museum of Natural Science, this satellite facility with three telescopes offers various out-of-this-world activities for you to enjoy. Situated at Brazos Bend State Park, one hour outside of Houston, the delights of the night sky will be even brighter and more visible! Whether you’re opting for a relaxing night of stargazing, or you’re interested in learning more about the heavens, there is something for everyone.

Depending on which season of the year you choose to visit the observatory, there are numerous phenomena that can be seen. If you’d like to see Saturn’s rings or the n5cloud belts on Jupiter, then don’t wait to make the trek to this facility!  It is opened on Saturday’s year-round, from 3:00 pm-10:00 pm, and located at 21901 FM 762, Needville, TX 77461.
