Edible Christmas Trees

Get everyone into the holiday spirit with this fun Christmas treat! This might get their hands a bit messy, but believe me the smile and looks on their faces are all worth it! Plus, who doesn’t love a Christmas themed candy dessert?

Supplies:
-Ice cream cones
-M&M candies
-Chocolate chips
-Sprinkles
-Twizzlers (the Pull and Peel kind)
-Vanilla frosting
-Green food dye
-Craft sticks

This can get a little messy, we recommend laying down a newspaper or washable tablecloth in the table for easy clean up and having the kids in play clothes.

Place a generous amount of vanilla frosting in a bowl, add a few drops of green food dye and mix until it’s the color you desire. Then put M&M’s, Chocolate chips, and Twizzlers (I separated several twizzler strands so the licorice is thinner) into individual bowls.

Give every child an ice cream cone, one craft stick, and a plate to decorate their tree on. Tell your children to use the craft stick and apply the green frosting all over their cones. Then let the kiddos decorate the frosting with the various candies.

Once everyone is done, take a step back and look at the awesome (and edible!) Christmas trees you and your children have made!
