Running the Bases at Minute Maid Park

Running the Bases at Minute Maid Park

The only thing better than an afternoon at Minute Maid Park, watching the Houston Astros, eating popcorn and playing at the stadium’s playground, is running the bases after the game!

After Sunday games, kids ages 5 to 14 are invited to run on the very same field as the profession baseball players! Under the the open stadium roof, below the thousands of seats and in view of their biggest fans, kids can feel like all-stars.

There is only one Sunday game left this season, so be sure to attend the September 21st, 1:10pm game.

Around the 7th inning, kids line up near section 133. Everyone is welcome but Astros Buddies use the shorter VIP line.

The Astros Buddies membership is $20 per child and comes with a hat, bag free tickets and special access to events (making it a great deal), BUT since the season is almost over, many of the benefits have expired. If you don’t sign up for this season, but sure to sign up for next.

Even without the membership, kids can run the bases just like the professionals. It is an experience they will talk about for a long time!
