The first Saturday of every month is Hands-On Houston, an event hosted by the Houston Center for Contemporary Craft that invites you and your family to join them in a free craft activity hosted by local artists!
This month on June 7th the featured craft is felted soap, and artist Barbara Kile, a fifteen-year felt expert, will demonstrate how to make this soapy work of art.
By using small strips of wool to cover a bar of soap and applying a little hot water and some friction, you and your family will get the opportunity to create your very own scubby soap!
Craft supplies are provided for all participants so all you need to bring is your family from 11:00am to 3:00pm to have a bubbling good time! Check this site for next month’s Hands-On creation.
