Since its opening day in 1992, Space Center Houston (SCH) has seen over 18 million visitors walk through its doors. Within its 250,000-square-foot educational complex, Space Center Houston provides a fun and engaging environment for education.

Let your family explore their interests in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. With both permanent and traveling exhibits, there’s always something new to see at the Space Center. You’ll get a behind-the-scenes look at NASA Mission Control Center, International Space Station Mission Control, astronaut training and the NASA Johnson Space Center.

Begin your visit by entering The Plaza which is SCH’s main activity hub. You never know what new exhibits or exciting events you might find. SCH is constantly changing up their exhibits and bringing in new attractions. Did you know they’ve even featured reptile shows?

One of their well-known attractions is “Lunch with an Astronaut,” which gives you the extraordinary opportunity to spend time with a NASA astronaut. You’ll hear first-hand stories from space while enjoying a delicious meal prepared by SCH’s in-house catering team. You’ll also receive a personalized photograph from the featured guest astronaut!

General admission not only include museum access but a movie, tram tour and a stop at Rocket Park, home of the impressive Saturn V rocket, the most powerful rocket ever build and operated. It played a significant role in successfully transporting and landing American astronauts on the moon during the Apollo missions. At over 36 stories high, this rocket is a sight you have to see in person.

You can find event information and ticket prices here. Seniors receive a 5 percent off discount on general admission any day of the week. You can also become a member of SCH for even more perks.
